Matthew 7:7-11
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Lesson:
We can go to our Father and ask for anything. He is waiting on us to depend on Him, seek Him and wait on Him. God is our Great Provider and He knows what we have need of. He knows our hearts desire and He is waiting on us to line up with His word, that He may give us the things that we desire.
It is only when we line up that we can and bring forth good fruit that we can began to see God's blessings. It has to be this way because our hearts before we come into the knowledge of Christ are filled with evil. And when we are in the world we will ask for things we have no business asking for. We will pray and ask God for all kinds of stuff, material possessions that we want only for ourselves, we pray against other people cause we don't like them or they did something to us and the list goes on. That is evil and God is not into blessing evil or helping you to commit sin.
When you are filled with the Holy Spirit you will then know the things that you should pray for. You will have some wisdom and understanding from the Lord. Your heart will be filled with the truth and you will desire the things of God. Those things will be whatever is needed and necessary to glorify God.
I wii leave you with one scripture to meditate on with this lesson:
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
